Ambler Music Academy, a community music school located in the heart of Ambler, is dedicated to providing the benefits of music to all people regardless of age or ability. We provide quality private music lessons in a variety of instruments, including violin, piano, voice, guitar, viola, organ, flute, woodwinds and brass. Group Lessons are currently offered in violin and viola, and we are in the process of developing a choir and glee club, as well as opportunities to study music theory. In addition we have enthusiastic and talented certified music therapists on our faculty who provide music therapy and adapted private music lessons to students with special needs. For our youngest students, age 1-6 years, we offer a Family Music Class that provides to them (and their parents!) an engaging and fun introduction to music.
The Academy serves students from towns throughout Montgomery and Philadelphia County, including Ambler, Blue Bell, Plymouth Meeting, Lafayette Hill, Spring House, Lower Gwynedd, Norristown, East Norriton, King of Prussia, Conshohocken, Flourtown, Lansdale, Horsham, Abington and others in the area.
At the Academy, we wholeheartedly believe in the importance of music and music study. As Shinichi Suzuki said, “If children hear fine music from the day of their birth and learn to play it, they develop sensitivity, discipline and endurance. They get a beautiful heart.”
