Alexander Panku, Piano

Alexander Panku was born in Bucharest, Romania, and began his musical studies at the age of six. He made his recital debut at the age of fourteen and concerto debut at seventeen.  Alex holds a Doctorate Degree in Piano Performance from Temple University where he studied with Mr. Harvey Wedeen, distinguished artist-teacher.  He has been teaching piano since 1979 to students of all ages and levels, and has served on the Piano Faculty at renowned music institutions, including Temple University, Settlement Music School, Academy of Community Music, Nelly Berman School of Music and Bryn Mawr Conservatory.  For over forty years, Mr. Panku has also played concerts, solo recitals, and chamber music recitals in concert halls and centers throughout the community.
